We were able to get both the case and the restraining order against our client Reynaldo dismissed.
Reynaldo was looking at up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Reynaldo M. was having an argument with his pregnant girlfriend in Coral Springs, Florida when she scratched him. He was angry and slapped her in the leg. She called 911. When the police arrived they saw the scratch on her leg and that Reynaldo had taken her iPhone. The cops told him he was “thwarting her ability to call 911.” They arrested him and his girlfriend filed a restraining order.
This case was a heated argument that went off course. His girlfriend was remorseful for having called the police and decided she didn’t want the father of her children locked up. Reynaldo had a drinking problem, so we decided to get him help, which is what his girlfriend really wanted.
