We were able to get Martin’s charges dismissed and let our client get back to his career and life.
Martin is 50 years old and is a professional at a large company. Martin is a pillar of the community, and has even known Adam from the past seven years through his community influence. Martin felt guilty for his arrest, and was worried that this would affect his work.
While driving in Palm Beach, Martin F. was pulled over for speeding. During the traffic stop, the officer noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car. When questioned, Martin stepped out of the vehicle and allowed the officer search his car. Martin also automatically told the officer where the marijuana was located and was cooperative during the entire stop. Martin was arrested for the Possession of Marijuana under 20 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, but was released with a Notice to Appear.
We wanted to keep Martin’s case discrete, as he felt lots of shame following his arrest. We were able to show the prosecutors that Martin is involved in helping the community, and were able to get him into a diversion program. The program had Martin complete a four hour marijuana course, in which he completed immediately.
