Miami Defense Lawyers Get Battery on Police Officer Charge Dismissed in South Florida
We were able to get David into a diversion program. He completed all the requirements and his case was dismissed.
David was concerned that he would end up going to a higher level facility, be found guilty of violating his probation, and end up having a criminal record all at the young age of seventeen.
David D. was already on probation in a juvenile justice facility in North Miami Beach, Florida. He was a gentle giant who was not difficult unless provoked. In the juvenile facility the guards were messing with him and he went off on them. In the cafeteria he threw food at them and hit one of them with his lunch tray. David was charged with a felony.
David was still a minor and met the requirements for the diversion program. We fought with the prosecution to get him into the program.
