Who are you?
Hi, I’m Megan and I’m the Director of Marketing and Communications at Rossen Law Firm. I was born and raised in Minnesota, but got my Bachelors in Journalism from Boston University, with minors in both Public Health and Psychology. I made my way down to South Florida after working for nonprofits and being a community and investigative journalist at a daily paper in New York for a couple years. One of the things I’m most passionate about is justice and social justice causes, which is one of the many reasons I’m proud to be a part of the team at Rossen Law Firm.
How do you help clients of the firm?
One of my most important jobs is helping clients find us in the first place. We believe we’re the best criminal and DUI defense attorney office in South Florida, and through my marketing role I get to help share more of who we are online, on social media and at events so people can learn more about us and come to us when they find themselves needing incredible and compassionate legal services.
Why do you love your job?
I love working here because I get to do multiple different things each day. Each day and week is different - it's a combination of research, writing blogs, crafting social media posts, learning about Google Business, SEO and putting my creativity cap on to think about ways we can do things better while still making things fun and engaging. I love the firm’s dedication to excellence, how we care for clients as whole people and how we treat everyone with dignity and respect. I also love getting to meet new people constantly - I’m a forever learning and fascinated by many things.
What do you do when you’re not working at Rossen Law Firm?
I love being outside, period. Being newer to South Florida, my husband and I love going to the beach whether it’s just for a walk or even a swim. We also love grabbing our hammocks and heading to a county or state park to walk around and hang out (see what I did there?). Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and Long Key Nature Center in Davie are two of our current go-tos. I also have a photography business I run on the side, mostly photographing young families and couples. I’ve also freelanced photography, videography, writing and media work for nonprofits in Cambodia and Madagascar. Most weeknights, though, you can catch me or my hubs putting absolutely too much effort into making dinner (because we love food) or planning our next trip - so far, I have 25+ countries down.
