Hi, my name is Meritxell Ros. I was born in Spain and raised in South Florida where I have been practicing criminal defense for more than 13 years. As a former Assistant Public Defender, I handled thousands of cases ranging from Death Penalty cases to misdemeanor DUIs and drug offenses. I have tried more than 50 jury trials, including Murder and Capital Sexual Battery trials.
I graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy with a Certificate in Law, Ethics, and Society. I received my juris doctorate degree from St. Thomas University where I was also the recipient of the ABOTA Trial Scholarship.
As an immigrant in this country, I have always had a passion for helping those who could not help themselves. I have devoted my entire career to the zealous advocacy of those accused of crimes. I firmly believe one bad decision does not define a person.
I joined the Rossen Law Firm because I firmly believe in their core values. They treat every client with attention and respect. They treat every case as if it were their own child or parent accused of a crime. They are a rare breed of criminal defense attorneys and I am grateful and excited to join them.
I love to travel to foreign countries and absorb as much culture as possible. I also love to read and spend much of my time training my German Shepherd rescue.
